  • July 2026 Monthly Update

It’s July, so another Racing Month is here. And this is a Racing Month full of games both old and new. And it starts with a small game by the developer of Go Kart Island. While that one had a relaxed atmosphere, Turbo Hatchback Time Attack also says what to expect with its name. And that is a lot of runs across tracks trying to gain the fastest time on the leaderboard. Or at least just grabbing the gold time on each.

Other games across the month will see me look at all the new content additions that have come to Wreckfest 2 since last Racing Month, along with a previous game that Bugbear have developed. That being FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage. What is considered the best of the FlatOut series. I’ve played the PSP port HeadOn before, so it’s time to see what the main event is like.

I’m also going to be looking at some expansions to racing games that I’ve looked at before. Parking Garage Rally Circuit was a very fun time, and now it has more tracks thanks to the European Tour DLC. Formula Legends has received quite a few expansions since release, but I’m only interested in the tracks. Just as well there’s both the Historic Tracks pack and Iconic Tracks pack to dive into.

The second part of my looking back at GTA V will happen this Racing Month, focused entirely on the races and the creator that allowed me and many others to make their own. I’ve talked about my own creations before, along with highlighting them in videos and streams, so I’ll keep the focus on those to a minimum for this second part. But there are still many types of races to be looking back on.

And a first for Racing Month, there is a TV & Film article coming. After all, just as Shrek celebrated 25 years, Cars celebrates 20. I saved a Moonlit Critbit looking at the films of the franchise for this month, simply because it makes sense as a franchise about racing. As I say, I’ll only be focusing on the films of the franchise. So no Cars On The Road, and no Cars Toons. Even though I love those, too.

Racing Month means a new short story being added to Shorts of the Rula. And another visit to the Zincite Storm universe. I’ve shown quite a bit of the workings of the Racer’s Way, building toward the reason the universe got its name. Yes, I’ll be showing just a bit of the Zincite Storm Cup with this next one, from the perspective of those watching. Giving an idea of what a city built around a racetrack really offers.
