- August 2026 Monthly Update

It’s August, which means it’s Tiny Teams again. That week where games from small studios are celebrated. This year, I’m an accepted creator again, giving me access to more than just the demos that will be freely available. So, starting from 6/August, I’ll be looking at a variety of games featured this Tiny Teams across the days of the festival. And maybe a bit beyond, too. Since there’s so much to be looking at.
Beyond that, there’s some indie games I will be looking at beyond those featured in Tiny Teams. One such being Duskfade, an action platforming adventure that looks to have some very fluid movement in its gameplay. With a very fantasy-styled world across a range of biomes. And I’m sure the story it holds will be lovely, too. My experiences of Duskfade will come a few days after Tiny Teams ends.
At the end of the month comes the first of two Star Wars games for the year. Zero Company is an X-Com styled strategy game set during the Clone Wars. It’s had a lot of focus on it across these last few months, showing the character customisation on offer, how battles will flow, and the other mechanics powering it. I should have my experiences for this one out before the month is out. Though it might just slip to September.
And lastly, being as Tiny Teams is another Yogscast event, it makes sense for a new chapter of Yogsimulated 2 to be released. Yes, just one. Since the last chapter will see the group back in the winter version of Bristol, I felt it would be better to have that last chapter release just before Jingle Jam. This fifth chapter will see Bristol overrun by monsters, with each team having to fight through them to reach the boss who wants to control the city.
