Racing Month is here again! The focus is on more than just driving vehicles this year, with a few games that provide some on-foot action. One of these is a recent Early Access release on Steam that provides a parkour experience. It’s said to be a game where parkour is simply a part of the movement rather than needing to hold buttons to perform certain actions.

As for those that are vehicle-based, New Star GP released earlier in the year, providing some retro-styled racing from across the years of Formula 1. In month releases Hot Lap Racing, a more modern-styled racer again a history of motorsports approach. But with more than just F1 cars. Both of these I’ll be playing on the Switch. They’re arcade racers, so there shouldn’t be too much issue with not having analogue triggers.

The third of the Switch Successor Launch Line Up (In An Alternate Reality) series will be coming this month, as it’s focused upon racing games. Two original ideas, with a sequel to a known kart racer series. If you’ve been following along with the series to see the header image, you know which one that is. It’s not Mario Kart, but I do have something Mario Kart related coming.

Another Future of Mario Kart entry is coming, this one focused on a particular thing. Mario Kart having tracks with multiple routes. It’s something I touched on with one of my first CultureSlate editorial articles, but here I want to expand on it. Show exactly how creating multiple routes per theme can provide new tracks easily, while also offering unique twists on returning tracks without ruining what makes them memorable.

And lastly, a story. A new Shorts of the Rula entry will be coming that focuses on racing. Much like with Mountainous Change, this one will also show off how a part of the story for a concept of mine. This one being near the start of that Racing RPG concept of mine. It’s almost like coming full circle with it, really. Since that concept was adapted from an old story of mine.

Now, could I instead make this a full story, much like Zincite Storm Cup attempted to be? Naturally. But I’m tempted to do something else. Zincite Storm Cup is yet to return in any capacity. Much like Elemental Heroes, I’m keeping it held back to expand on what I’d created. Have that be the first novel of this new world of mine. But before that, I can at least develop it with some short stories.

And speaking of stories, I do have a bit to talk about regarding them. That will be the only article coming not related to Racing Month. In it will be news concerning one of my books on the Kindle Store, plus some ideas I’ve been developing for future stories. And also other thoughts on my stories.
