At the start of March-2020, the fourth era of DarkRula Media began with the blog moved back to Weebly. The aim was to unify everything under one site. Not by having everything in the same place, but making it easier to link out to various other sources. By bringing the blog back to Weebly, I had a bit more control of things than I’d had with Blogger in terms of pages. But it wasn’t enough. I wanted a lot more freedom and a greater toolset. As such, Weebly was but a stopgap until the real changes could start coming.

As the months progressed, the site was seeing many changes as I figured the best way to display all of the content I had. One of those ideas involved linking to individual content pieces on the home page of the site, much like you’d see with other content-based websites. However, all of it was done manually, which is one of the reasons I wanted a greater toolset. Having something like that automatically update would make the running of the site a lot easier on me. The same with the monthly updates which I would post every month, copying the old one to put into the update archive.

In August-2020, my ventures into video media grew a bit as I started livestreaming on Twitch. It seemed a natural progression of things. I wanted to grow this label of mine further, so something that enabled me a direct connection with viewers seemed a great fit. At first, things were incredibly basic, as I jumped straight in with no preparation, using the microphone built-in to the laptop I was using at that time. While I quickly bought myself a microphone, and activated my laptop’s camera to show myself enjoying these games, things remained basic as I could never have a stable setup. Everything about it was temporary. But even so, I was enjoying myself.

The beginning of livestreaming also brought a change to videos on YouTube, as I now had a microphone to give commentary on the videos I was producing. Such meant I could do things other than simply showcase games, even if that’s what I mostly stuck to. With my custom tracks on GTA Online, I could talk about my reasonings for their designs. I could showcase challenges and make them easy to understand by giving audible context to what was happening. 2021 was a big year for both Twitch and YouTube, with a lot of content available to view that year. But the following year it started to drop off as my breathing difficulties got worse. It was especially noticeable on Twitch, where it was clear at times that I was struggling but trying to hide it. As such, when 2023 came around, content on both Twitch and YouTube had stopped.

July-2021 brought a slight change to the website, but a big difference in how it was run. Built on the Astra WordPress theme, I now had the greater tools I was looking for. Better customisabilty for pages and even articles, the website now had the automation I wanted with its front page. I was happy with how I’d got things set up, but hadn’t intended to launch until everything from the Weebly site was ported over. However, July meant Racing Month, and I had ideas for it. Ideas that would likely bring a strong start for a new version of the site. With powerful tools behind it, I brought my all to the website, producing higher quality content. And more of it. A change to reviews around the start of the new site also meant a greater focus on Experiences articles rather than First Impressions, leaving the latter type of article for demos.

When it came to the stories I was publishing, I found a greater focus on short stories as I considered my next move for the next ebook on the Kindle Store. While sporadic from 2022 until 2024, 2025 was the year of short stories. Every month saw a new one published to either Shorts of the Rula or The Alternate Extras of Halesowen as I made a commitment to finishing the latter that year. New stories Trials of Gore Fest and Yogsimulated 2 also started on Wattpad. Those ebooks on the Kindle Store weren’t forgotten by me, as I strived to get them noticed. Such involved getting an artist to design a new cover for Elemental Heroes, and getting Space Race Championship published as a physical book – which also involved a new cover.
