It’s been a great time waking up each day to some great announcements. Seeing the interviews with special guests on the Live stage. And the fun that people have been having at Star Wars Celebration this year. Across the three days, there’s been a lot to see. While I still have yet to see most of the livestream events, what I’ve already seen has been lovely. Starting off with birthday wishes for Hayden Christensen.
Yes, the interviews on the Live stage from across the day are always a fun time. The special guests usually relate to panels that have already happened, like with Shawn Levy and Ryan Gosling appearing not even an hour in to talk Star Wars: Starfighter. The new movie from the two that got revealed during the opening The Mandalorian & Grogu panel of the first day. Along with special guests relating to panels, announcements also get made from the Live stage.
Such as with the second expansion for Star Wars Outlaws. A Pirate’s Fortune teams up Kay Vess with legendary pirate Hondo Ohnaka to take an adventure to the Khepi Tomb, uncovering the riches it holds. I’m enjoying what I’ve seen from that trailer, with some fun interactions already seen. I do have to return to Outlaws to complete the main story, so the expansions will have to wait. I can see myself getting to it very soon, however.

Day One seemed to hold many of the largest announcements, even away from that opening panel. The Mandalorian & Grogu seems to be shaping up to be a great movie to watch. Plenty of action, some great new characters (and returning ones), and a lot of cute Grogu moments. With the New Republic era having been exclusively on Disney+ these past years, it will be great to see some of it on the big screen.
Speaking of Disney+, the new animated series from Lucasfilm Animation was revealed during the 20th anniversary of Lucasfilm Animation panel. And it is one I am so excited for. Maul: Shadow Lord brings the former Sith back during the dark times era as he continues to build his underworld syndicate while also training a new apprentice. This series, much like with The Mandalorian & Grogu, will arrive in 2026.
The first day also held a look at Hasbro’s offerings, with a focus on characters from EA’s Jedi games. Cal Kestis and Merrin have figures in the Black line, with Merrin also having a Vintage Collection figure. Han Solo and Chewbacca also feature in the Black line, but my favourite of the bunch has to be Moff Gideon in his Dark Trooper armour. It looks so cool, with his red cape standing out against the black armour.

A surprise on Day Two was the return of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy. The first season was a great time, with everything in the Star Wars galaxy mixed up. And it officially gave us Darth Jar Jar and a great dark version of the Millennium Falcon. With this second season, the series is moving away from just minifigures. The poster holds a BrickHeadz Ahsoka and brick-built Chewbacca, alongside a minifigure of Jaxxon, making a debut in LEGO canon from the classic Marvel comics. It will be great to see Pieces of the Past in September.
Speaking of Darth Jar Jar, the next Star Wars crossover with Fortnite will bring the alternate universe Sith Lord into the game. Revealed on Day Three, this is also said to be the biggest Star Wars crossover yet. Looking at what’s coming, I can believe it. Five weeks this season will run, with each week having a different theme, introducing new areas to the map. And TIE Fighters and X-Wings can be piloted around the map. Should be a super time to jump back into the world of Fortnite for any Star Wars fan.
Across Day Two, panels for Andor and Ahsoka provided a look back at what had come, along with hyping up what will come. For Andor, its second season is coming next week. Many guests at the panel were giving their reasons on why people should be excited for what it is come. Including K-2SO entering the picture. Picking up one year after season one, things are getting more dangerous in the galaxy. I’m very excited to see this.
As for Ahsoka, its second season will start production soon. The Mortis Gods play a role in this coming season, with Baylan Skoll being an important part of it. Such that, after Ray Stevenson’s passing, the role was recast with someone who not only understood the character of Skoll, but also Stevenson. That being Rory McCann. Coming into the second season is Admiral Ackbar, who will play a role in facing Thrawn. And, of course, more Anakin Skywalker as we continue Ahsoka’s journey.

Across the three days, other projects were announced. Various books, a second season for the documentary Light & Magic, a third season for Young Jedi Adventures. The Mixed Reality experience, Beyond Victory. Various LEGO sets. And Visions: Volume Three, complete with a spin-off series that continues the story told in The Ninth Jedi. Volume Three comes out 29/October, with nine new shorts from Japanese anime studios.
And lastly, I want to talk of the next game to be coming. Zero Company, the turn-based tactics game developed by Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment. Set during the Clone Wars, those recruited to be part of Zero Company have their own stories that will emerge across the campaign to take on an emerging threat to the galaxy. Of course, you can customise your own characters to tackle that threat with, too. It’s going to be such a great one to experience when it releases next year.
With the end of Celebration, the closing ceremony showed off all the goings-on of the last three days. The highlights video released to YouTube showed the fans and the special guests full of positivity for the community. Highlighting the importance of Japan to the galaxy far, far away. The next Celebration was also announced at the closing ceremony, with it making another long-awaited return to somewhere.
West coast USA Celebrations are usually held down at Anaheim’s convention centre. For 2027 and the 50th anniversary of the franchise, Celebration is being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center for four days. Starting on 1/April. That event should be a fantastic one to be a part of, and I’m sure there’ll be a lot of great guests and announcements coming out of it. And a lovely celebration of all things Star Wars on the Live stage, too.
