Another event month not seeing as much as I’ve have wanted for it, despite getting a bit out for it than with Star Wars Month. I’m extending it just a bit so I can feature one more stream and that article talking of the Sonic racers. After that, it’s into the content for this month, and it’s bringing a bit of a LEGO theme. First things first, though…
On the fifth, I’ll be at an event that should prove to be a lot of fun. The Crazy Ball Snooker Challenge is a charity event organised by my dad for him to play the owner of our local snooker hall for one frame of snooker. With a twist. Heard of the crazy cue ball? Yup, they’re playing with that. Plenty of laughs are sure to be had. There’s a raffle, auction, and a famous face or two, and all proceeds from the event will be going to the University Hospitals Birmingham Charity.
UHB Charity is four hospital charities of Birmingham that merged into one to help each other. By using the donations given, they bring further support to the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust by putting that money into the development of the hospitals to provide cutting-edge equipment, new departments, and new toys and games for the children under their care. Take a visit of the website, have a look around, and perhaps show a bit of support yourself.
I’ll be covering that event with an article, which should give an idea of what went down during it. While I won’t be doing a charity drive myself, I will be further raising awareness throughout the month. As for the rest of the month, I’ve got a few articles coming and even more videos.
As I said up top, this month is set to have a bit of a LEGO theme to it. My long term plans for this year would have seen LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga released, and I’d be able to give my concept of a new original game that builds off what City Undercover introduced. While I still could get that written up, I need to see what The Skywalker Saga feels like to play to be able to fit certain things together. Instead, I’m going for another of my LEGO concepts instead.
This one is based on Harry Potter, and giving it an expansion to what the original games offered. This means opening out the world to give a lot of places to explore – including a fully realised TT-rendition of the castle and grounds. I won’t be giving all the details, but enough to allow the concept to shine. I see this as being a larger game than any Harry Potter game to date – with it even able to compete against Hogwarts Legacy whenever that arrives (even if that one is about your journey rather than Harry’s).
To go with that, I’ll be streaming the LEGO Harry Potter Collection – that bundled Year’s 1-4 and Year’s 5-7 for newer consoles. I won’t be going through all the years, just my favourite of each game. I don’t have room to play all of them this month, and that’s because of something I’m doing to celebrate a year of streaming.
Yes, this month is when I started, and so I felt it would be nice to revisit those games that I started my journey into streaming with. Star Wars Battlefront 2 (both 2005 and 2017 versions), GTA V, and Splatoon 2 will all be featured at the end of this month, replicating as best as possible what I was doing during those streams. I’ve also got another visit to the farm on Farming Simulator 19 coming, as well as some other things, so keep an eye out for those.
Over on the GRcade channel, I’ll be doing what I had intended during Racing Month and featuring games other than GTA that I haven’t played on there before. Except for this first slot, owing to already having featured Mario Golf during it last month. For two of those slots, I’m unsure as of yet what I’ll be featuring, but the last one will see me playing Hotel Life: A Resort Simulator. It’s a game that interests me, as you’ll have seen from my Nacon Connect article, so I want to give it a go and see if it fits me.
I haven’t revealed everything, as per the norm, and there’s every possibility things I have said will come get missed or delayed. I’m hoping that this month can bring the serious treatment I need for what has started to become a serious issue I overlooked for so long, so we’ll see how things go in regards to that. Thanks for reading this update, and I hope you’ll check out some of my content before the new stuff comes in.
