The start of the year held some good games for me, with Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, and even Miraculous: Paris Under Siege. The way things look at present, games will be light across this month. In fact, there’s only one new game I truly want to get to across all of February. With perhaps one or two others I’m at present undecided on.

Across the last few years, I’ve been looking at the Nacon Life games. Early last year, two came along at once. This year, Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator arrives from the same team that developed Police Simulator: Patrol Officers. Needing to quickly navigate the streets to arrive at any emergency, give aid on the roadside, and then get them to hospital, Ambulance Life should be a lovely new Nacon Life game to get to.

Recently announced for release right at the end of this month comes Farming Simulator VR. If I do get to this one, I’ll have thoughts on it in March. Simply, this seems to be a small-scale Farming Simulator experience, providing a more hands-on approach to vehicle maintenance and greenhouse tending. The map size and features are likely smaller compared to the main series, but more information should quickly come.

There’s the potential for more Nintendo news this month, with a Direct bringing information on the last of the Switch games coming before the Switch 2 takes the spotlight. Backwards compatibility means even if there’s Switch games released after its successor comes, there’s no missing out on them. And I’m certain there will be at least one new release coming from a potential Direct I’ll be interested in.

Speaking of the Switch 2, there’s a lot we don’t know about this new console of Nintendo’s. It will all become clear on 2/April, but that doesn’t mean I can’t speculate on what’s to come. Since Mario Kart is a known entity, despite how little we know of it, I’ll be saving it for a future article. I want to offer ideas of what could come to the Switch 2, much like I did with the Switch when it was first revealed.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The game that was announced at last year’s Pokémon Presents hasn’t been heard from since. It was announced then for a date this year. So the Pokémon Presents that is sure to be coming this month will likely have more than just a tease of what this game is meant to be. It won’t just be that during this Pokémon Day Presents, but I just hope they’re not going to do a Gen 10 tease here. Save it for the 30th anniversary next year!

Shorts of the Rula gets its first story of the year, with this one showing a friendship blooming to be deeper than it currently is. There’s also the potential for that new story, now named Trials of Gore Fest, to premiere either the end of this month, or early next. And Space Race Championship comes ever closer to appearing in bookstores. Potentially this month. So… preview time?
