June ’23 Monthly Update

It’s the beginning of summer, meaning the gaming landscape is about to be changed with many events showing off new games. This year, there’s the Xbox Games Showcase, a Ubisoft Forward, Summer Game Fest, and Future Game Show. Anything interesting at any of them, I’ll be sure to cover them. And for two, I know there’s going to be.

For the Xbox Games Showcase, the next Forza Motorsport is to be here, showing off more of this big upgrade to the series. Starfield has its own section after everything else has been shown, going deep into this sci-fi Skyrim. I’ve been interested in getting this one, but I’m more interested in Fable. Teased as part of the hype cycle for the event with that trail of glitter, it will be lovely to see this one at long last. Playground are sure to deliver with it.

As for Ubisoft Forward, The Crew Motorfest is taking the series away from a massive US map and drifting to Hawaii – specifically O’ahu. This event is sure to show off more of it and give a release date. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is also going to feature, but that was a given. What of the other Assassin’s Creed games that are likely in the works? A VR one? The multiplayer one? I’m ready to see how this series can break into new ground.

After all that, things will quiet down as I prepare for a loaded Racing Month. Yes, there’s a few things I’ve got planned for that one, though I’m not going into detail here. One or two other articles will make themselves known during the second half of this month, however.
