It’s time once again for the giant reel of announcements to begin now that June is here. There’s a whole host of events across this month, with Sony having already shown their hand with a State of Play at the end of last month. Summer Game Fest usually has some fun announcements, as does Future Games Show. Nintendo and Xbox will have their usual events, too.
I suspect a few games I’ve got on my waiting for list will show up some time during this month. Arctic Awakening, The Precinct, and Resistor among them. Microsoft with their Xbox showcase will likely feature Flight Simulator 2024. I would also expect Fable to finally show itself, considering how long its been since that announcement. No idea what to expect from Nintendo, but they’ve already made it clear that no Switch successor news will be at this June Direct.
I don’t plan on just keeping the focus on announcements this month, since there’s been a few games released over the last month I still haven’t got to. A certain Duck Detective, for one. And Galacticare. And a few others. One that I was hoping to get to has unfortunately been delayed. Life by You is coming along smoothly, but the team said they want to deliver the best possible start for it. I’ll be awaiting the new date eagerly.
As June rolls into July, it will be time to start those engines for Racing Month. This event month will happen once again, seeing focus on those games that have a particular theme. As part of the event, the third in my Switch Successor launch line up concept article will be published. Of course, there’s a concept article coming this month, too. What that is, I’m not saying. But it should be available to read very soon.
