June means one thing. A load of gaming events with many new announcements. Well, two things, as the Switch 2 is days away. It’s finally time for a new Nintendo machine, and I’m very excited to get to it. Not least because the first open world Mario Kart is here on day one. The article about my time with the Switch 2 will come a week after launch, where I’ll be talking Mario Kart World, Fast Fusion, and a few other experiences.

As for those gaming events, Summer Game Fest’s Live Kickoff event starts things off on 6/June at 22:00 BST. Owing to how late it is, anything that catches my eye will be talked of in an article the following day. On that day will be the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, though with it starting at 21:00 BST, thoughts on the announcements there will likely be the following day, too.

Microsoft have their event on 8/June at 18:00, which is sure to have exciting announcements for me. One can only hope for a new Forza Horizon, even though it seems unlikely with Horizon 5 having recently released on PS5. I could also hope for some Xbox announcements for the Switch 2, including my dream of a Midtown Madness remake collection. Hey, the GCN Pokémon games are finally making an appearance, so can’t another of my dreams come real in the same year?

Now, last month I said that a new concept would be coming where I created an RPG region just from a local area. I’ve got the detail for the first part of that ready, it’s just getting it into words that I failed at. Trying to strike a balance between giving a good idea of how it looks while at the same time not overloading the article with information. So, once all the gaming events are over, I’ll be returning to it so that it releases this month.

Of course, there’s the short story for this month. One which will see a return to the Herzan State, which I’ve not touched since Mountainous Change. Shorts of the Rula will get a new short within this fictional Michigan, with a theme park in danger from a gang takeover. With this month being the end of the second quarter, the second article revealing the planning behind the stories of this quarter will come.
