March ’21 Monthly Update

On Pokémon Day, I started a Wool and Wings run of Pokémon Shield over on Twitch, with that continuing on until completion throughout this month. The day before that was the Pokémon Presents, which ticked off news for one of my three cores during February. With March being the month where news of Sonic the Hedgehog usually happens, along with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga being pencilled for a Spring release, I’m expecting news of those two this month.

As ever, the anniversary of the Switch this month brings with it my experiences of this fourth year. There’s been a lot that I’ve played within what some consider a dry year for the console, with almost double the games over previous years. Sure, Nintendo have been releasing less over the course of the last year, but things look to be picking up again – at least for next year.

Always one to concept ideas, I’ve got a few that will be appearing within articles across this year. Most build off concepts that already exist – such as the one from last month on evolving Bowser’s Fury into a full Mario experience. The one this month is staying with Nintendo, but using Thrillville as a base. I think it’s easy to guess what the idea will be. Just as with Mii Resort Paradise, I’ve slowly been building this one up for a while.

Monster Hunter Rise and Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town both release at the end of this month, and I’ll be playing both live on Twitch. Since I played the demo of Monster Hunter Rise over on the GRcade channel, my first play of the full game will be there. Story of Seasons will then follow the next day on my own channel. First Impressions articles will then be published a few days later.

I’ve got another DiRT 5 stream coming this month, playing some more races from that game just as I did with Wreckfest last month. In terms of videos, I’ve got a RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 video coming up that builds off what I ended up doing when I streamed it. That being making a rendition of London within the area that the Switch version allows. While I won’t be building it in the video, I’ll certainly be showing my creation off.

Next month is Star Wars Month, and since Republic Commando has been announced as coming to the Switch, I know what will be seeing a full playthrough during the month. I’m not spoiling anything else, though, so you can be waiting next month for that.
