There were a few opportunities for videos that I failed to capitalise on. While I had started cutting streams down to highlights for videos, the new Pokémon Shield expansion, Watch Dogs Legion, and even the second Farming Simulator stream could have seen videos created. Yet no videos arose. Video creation is pretty tough when you can’t use headphones and are in a busy place.
Those who have tuned into streams might have heard me mention wax build up within my ears in relation to this, and such is true. It makes wearing any type of headphones for any amount of time an uncomfortable experience, and the laptop I use to create videos isn’t the same as I stream with. For as much as I would like to create videos, then, there’s little chance that such will happen. As things feel better, I’ll do my best to make some more.
The Watch Dogs Legion first impressions article will be arriving soon, as will the look at The Force Awakens novelisation. Since I’ll be looking at the trilogy, I felt it worthwhile to keep them contained within a single month. They’ll also be going under the name of Book vs Film, even if I don’t use the name again for a while. Such a series is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, so this gives me the opportunity to do so.
DiRT 5 will release this month, and I’ll have a first impressions of it out once I’ve had a play around with it. I’m looking forward to this one more for the playground mode it will feature, but I also want to get driving around on those tracks. I’ve only seen a few of them from the likes of FailRace (that demo was what boosted my interest in the game), and I’m sure there’ll be some returning tracks from previous games along with the new. I’ll be featuring it on stream about a week after it releases to share those things I like about it.
And speaking of streams, this first week is starting off a new full playthrough. That being Starlink: Battle For Atlas. In fact, this first week will see a focus on the Nintendo Switch as I’ll also feature Go Vacation as well. For the second week, it’ll see a focus on Xbox. Along with DiRT 5, there will be the third Farming Simulator Feeding Cows For Christmas stream, and more Watch Dogs Legion. All using the power of the Series S.
The GTA V for that week over on the GRcade channel will still be using the One, though. I’m not zapping a quarter of the internal storage on that game, no matter how much I play it. And the One will probably stay in circulation for most games. Besides, there’s another Rockstar game that’ll be taking the space. I’ve yet to play Red Dead Redemption 2, so I’ll be giving my experiences of that.
Also releasing this month is Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Same as DiRT 5, it’ll see a first impressions article and also feature on a stream. Since this is going to be a one-shot, don’t expect me to feature much in the way of the plot. Once the game is out, I’ll have a good idea of how I’m going to be doing that.
