November ’21 Monthly Update

Porting of content is still going slow, so while more 2020 and 2019 articles have appeared, it is not all of them. The same slow pace of porting will continue throughout this month as I partake in the NaNoWriMo challenge.

For those who don’t know, the National Novel Writing Month challenge is open to everyone, and challenges writers to write a novel of 50,000 words (that’s just the end target, you can go over) in a month. You don’t need to even have more than just a basic idea to start. Just let the creativity you hold do the work in shaping how the story plays out.

For me, I’ve had a break from writing stories for a year. I’ve still been planning a few, and so this challenge is what I’m using to kickstart me into getting one of those fully written as a novel. Or at least its first draft. It does mean the second Elemental Heroes novel takes a backseat, but once this is over, I’ll return to it with a fresh eye and hopefully work out the little details I’ve been trying to get fixed with the planning of it.

For gaming, it’s a big month. Forza Horizon 5 is out in a matter of days, and I’ve got a trio of content coming to celebrate that release the same as I did Hot Wheels Unleashed. A video showing off my first hour with the game, a review of the game, and a stream of the game all on the same day. That day is Tuesday 9th.

Then, a few days later, GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition releases. I’m very much looking forward to this one, as it gives me these three greats in handheld form on the Switch and the ability to get back to Vice City to explore the location I’d spent the most amount of time with. Vice City will be streamed on the day of release, with San Andreas seeing focus on the GRcade Twitch the next day. An experiences article will release during that weekend talking of all three, with GTA III DE being streamed the following week.

That week sees Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl release. I’ll be getting Shining Pearl, and will be streaming it. The way I’m going to do that is not with a 1:3:6 ruleset run as I’d originally intended. Instead, I will start it on the GRcade channel, then follow up the next day on my own. The next time it will feature will be next year, where I will then get the 1:3:6 ruleset run started and completed.

But what is a 1:3:6 ruleset run? That will be explained in an article this month, with the highlights from the Wool and Wings Run being uploaded as well. That will be coming in two parts. A review of Shining Pearl will also be published on the weekend (or early the next week) of its release.

The last big game is Farming Simulator 22. I’ve already talked of the various new additions coming to the game that will make it the definitive farming experience. And I’ll have an experiences article talking of what I’ve explored with the game. Feeding Cows For Christmas returns with that new release, playing out much the same as it did last year. I’ll also be doing a Feeding Cows For Christmas stream on Farming Simulator 19, but this one will be different. You’ll see why when I go live with it early this month.
